Follow along as we explore two sides of Slovenia: Ljubljana (city) and Lake Bled (nature). After driving only three hours east of Vicenza we had finally arrived in Ljubljana. On Friday morning, we explored the "Open Kitchen Market" and tried everything in sight. After we headed over to 'Ljubljana Castle' where we were able to see a panoramic view of the city and learn about the history of it's conquerers. We spent two lovely days in Ljubljana and then drove 1 hour north to explore more of the country-side. We checked into our hotel along the lake and went for a canoe ride. Lake Bled is so picturesque! The video and photos don't do it justice. One of the highlights of this trip was going on the lake bled "toboggan". The sledding route is arranged over a very interesting terrain and offers...

I went backpacking alone all through Slovenia for 6 days. It was by far the experience I have ever had in my life and I hope to inspire you all to go and visit one day. All corners of this country are breathtaking with the most amazing landscape. In order to make this video, I hitchhiked, took buses, trains, and walked 25+ km, so I really hope you enjoy :) Filmed with the DJI Mavic Pro For Business Enquiries Only: firstname.lastname@example.org
Rick visits the home of his friend and Slovenian tour guide, Tina Hiti, to learn about family life in Slovenia, and how things have changed since living under Yugoslavia's "Third Way." Slovenia was the first Yugoslav republic to hold free elections and became independent in 1991. Thanks to its long-standing ties to the West and can-do spirit, Slovenia feels quite "Western," yet Slovenes proudly retain their own traditions and culture. I spent 6 months living as an Erasmus exchange student in Ljubljana, capital of the beautiul Slovenia. I studied at Univerza v Ljubljani. This video takes you with me on a regular day in the most peaceful yet exciting city I've ever been to. I lived in the Bezigrad dormitories since I was studying at the Social Sciences faculty. ----------------------------------------- Ljubljana is Slovenia's capital and largest city. It's known for its university population and green spaces, including expansive Tivoli Park. The curving Ljubljanica River, lined in outdoor cafes, divides the city's old town from its commercial hub. Ljubljana has many museums, including the National Museum of Slovenia, displaying historic exhibitions, and the Museum of Modern Art, home to 20th-century Slovene paintings an...
http://www.vdubvanlife.com/ We swiftly fell in love with Slovenia - it's a truly beautiful places, we even heard a few people (including ourselves) refer to it as 'paradise', but we'll let you decide. Hi friends! Thanks for watching!
Little Slovenia is the least visited and most underrated of Europe's alpine countries. From its prosperous capital of Ljubljana, we enjoy the mountain resort of Lake Bled, venture into the Julian Alps for natural thrills mixed with World War I history, go spelunking in a gigantic cave, and swim with Slavs in a charming Adriatic port. © 2010 Rick Steves' Europe
